The Boilermakers
Orange County, CA
The Boilermakers are a six-piece Southern California based outlaw country band with deep roots in American music and a healthy disregard for convention. Self-described as "A Drinking Group With a Music Problem," the band blends country, blues, folk, bluegrass, and even heavy metal influences into a gritty, high-energy sound that's all their own. Whether you call it Outlaw Country, Trashgrass, or simply good-time American roots music, The Boilermakers deliver it with authenticity, humor, and a whole lot of heart.
The lineup features "Brother" Scott Griffith on lead vocals, "Brother Smitty" Chris Smith on bass and vocals, "Uncle" Frank Giffen on lead guitar and vocals, "Cougar Slayer" Thomas Smith on rhythm guitar, mandolin, and vocals, "Cousin" Tom Slick on drums, and "Uncle Jay," also known as "The Colonel," Jay Summers on fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Collectively, the members bring decades of professional performing experience from stages across the country and beyond.
A Boilermakers show is more than a concert—it's a party. Mixing crowd-favorite covers with hard-hitting original songs, the band delivers energetic performances packed with musicianship, storytelling, laughs, and the occasional unexpected twist. No two shows are exactly alike, but every one is built around having a great time with the audience.
If you're looking for polished pop-country, you've come to the wrong place. If you're looking for outlaw spirit, whiskey-soaked songs, driving rhythms, and a band that loves every minute on stage.
