Patti is a "from an early age" musician/vocalist, eventually studying guitar performance at Berklee and taking music courses wherever her travels took her. She played guitar and fiddle in bands until switching to bass to join a fun Los Angeles band she met on the road - the "Cadillac Cowgirls". She then played/toured with many LA/OC area club bands, including the originals power rock project "The Sheilas" and tours with the Coasters, Platters and Fleetwoods.
Patti Shannon’s songwriting and performances have been recognized by industry professionals with awards including "Record of the Year" and "New Artist of the Year" from the California Country Music Association and "Song of the Year" from American Songwriter Magazine. Her songs have been pitched to artists such as the Chicks, Trio (Parton, Harris, Ronstadt), Bonnie Raitt and Sons of the San Joaquin and have been covered by other artists and placed in movies. She has released 10 original songs on her album “Gone So Gone”.
Patti has thoroughly enjoyed touring with a variety of bands in the States, US territories and overseas to many countries. She has also worked in musical theater as an actor, actor/musician, pit musician and music director and has movie and television performances under her belt as tv show house band member, musician extra, featured band and extra artist.
She is affiliated with BMI, SCL, SGA and is a long time AFM member.
