In 2011, the “Prophets” released their self-titled debut album with Rip Cat Records. This achievement earned them a 2012 Blues Music Award (BMA) nomination for “Best New Artist Debut” and an invitation to perform at the awards ceremony in Memphis, where they received rousing approval from their peers. Their success caught the attention of Delta Groove Records, which quickly brought them back into the studio. In 2014, Delta Groove released their sophomore album, “Flyin’ Home from Memphis,” to critical acclaim. This success led to a European Festival Tour, including a performance at the renowned Moulin Blues Festival in the Netherlands.
Brimming with original material and seeking more creative control, the band decided to establish their own label, Mojo King Music & Publishing. Their first release under the new label, “Record Store,” showcased their powerful songwriting and performance skills. This was followed by “Sounds from the Jungle Hut,” their latest release. Now, the “Boys from the LBC” are busy writing and recording their next set of original songs. Stay tuned!
